Saw Palmetto is a fruit extract. It is widely known for its DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) blocking abilities. DHT is the molecule responsible for the onset and progression of hair loss due to alopecia. "Saw Palmetto extracts slows or reduces the type of hereditary hair loss known as androgenic alopecia (a common form of hair loss also known as male- or female-pattern baldness)".
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a chemical found in green plants. MSM contains anti-inflammatory properties. It is rich in sulfur which helps your hair form bonds necessary for stronger hair and it also promotes extreme hair growth.

This product is NOT recommended for children under 5 years old. Instead, please purchase our Whipped Shea Butter Hair & Body Cream which is great for all age groups. When applying to the scalp, make sure to pay close attention to parts of your hair that is weak or thinning, especially your edges. Can also be used as a pre-poo conditioning treatment.

Due to the natural nature of our butters, during the warmer months the butter might become liquid or semi-liquid during transit especially in the warmer months. To minimize this happening please use a shipping address where the mail is delivered inside if at all possible.
To firm up your butter simply place the jar in the refrigerator to solidify. It will not regain its original texture but it will maintain its scent and moisturizing properties. Please see our shipping policy for further information.
